Inspired by Ekiden – The Ultimate Team Running Relay around the Great Orme
Sunday 29th November 2026 - Registration at 8am and first runners leave at 8:30am
We are inviting all the local running groups to chase miles and smiles on this end of season community celebration and social event.
£25 per team. A Team Manager should use this entry.
There are four options
* Miles race trophy (competitive) marathon distance (5 laps - 5 runners with at least 2 females)
* Miles race marathon distance (5 laps - any combination of runners)
* Smiles run trophy (fun) metric marathon distance (3 laps - 6 runners - at least 1 female - run in pairs)
* Smiles run (anything goes) metric marathon distance (3 laps - any combination of runners with half lap option)
The miles race trophy is the main event - which running group is the quickest?
Under 16s are welcome to run with an adult in the smiles run.
An option for the smiles run, is for some/all team members
to run half laps (there will be a water station where handover can happen).
In Ekiden, teams carry a satin sash to handover at the end
of each lap. Each team should bring something bright, bold, and visible while
running! Special prize awarded for the most creative baton!
Start preparing your teams and help develop the running
community in North Wales. Only the team manager needs to enter the event. They are responsible for providing details of team members at registration on the day including name, date of birth, medical information and emergency contact details.
Miles race for faster runners. 5 laps of the Orme.
Smiles run for all abilities. 3 laps of the Orme, run in
pairs with ½ lap option.
